On the Move Baby Onesie

We had the great fortune this past summer to come across five moose very early in the morning fog. We watched them for over an hour until they they disappeared into the forest. Later that same day, we hiked into one of our secret spots along the river and met up with this guy who was one of the five we spent time with earlier. We spent another hour or so with him, watching him graze and drink from the river. He knew we were nearby based on an occasional glance but went about his business without a care in the world. Truly amazing to spend time with these majestic creatures and get a glimpse into their world.

I LOVE the outdoors, and the mountains are my happy place. Many years ago, we visited the Canadian Rockies, and we instantly fell in love with what the mountains have to offer, from breathtaking scenery to countless wildlife opportunities. I remember traveling through a small town in British Columbia, Radium Hot Springs, where the sign that welcomes you to town says, “Mountains bring peace to the people.”. That quote and John Muir’s quote, “The mountains are calling and I must go” have resonated with me ever since. Whether it's shooting landscapes or wildlife, I find such a sense of peace and solitude just being there in the moment. Nourishment for the soul....a reminder for me that life is good.
