Sometimes you come across a scene that is so touching. We spent the day in Rocky Mountain National Park one day earlier this summer and were fortunate enough to come across four sets of new moose calves. All of them were precious, but this was, by far, the best encounter of all. Who doesn't love kisses from their mommy?

I LOVE the outdoors, and the mountains are my happy place. Many years ago, we visited the Canadian Rockies, and we instantly fell in love with what the mountains have to offer, from breathtaking scenery to countless wildlife opportunities. I remember traveling through a small town in British Columbia, Radium Hot Springs, where the sign that welcomes you to town says, “Mountains bring peace to the people.”. That quote and John Muir’s quote, “The mountains are calling and I must go” have resonated with me ever since. Whether it's shooting landscapes or wildlife, I find such a sense of peace and solitude just being there in the moment. Nourishment for the soul....a reminder for me that life is good.
