There’s something pretty exhilarating and a bit intimidating about coming across these majestic creatures in their own habitat. Generally, I'm out with the hubby, but on this particular morning, I ventured into the forest on my own and was rewarded with three beautiful bulls. This guy was the biggest of the three. So regal and majestic, thus the name, Mister Maestoso.
I LOVE the outdoors, and the mountains are my happy place. Many years ago, we visited the Canadian Rockies, and we instantly fell in love with what the mountains have to offer, from breathtaking scenery to countless wildlife opportunities. I remember traveling through a small town in British Columbia, Radium Hot Springs, where the sign that welcomes you to town says, “Mountains bring peace to the people.”. That quote and John Muir’s quote, “The mountains are calling and I must go” have resonated with me ever since. Whether it's shooting landscapes or wildlife, I find such a sense of peace and solitude just being there in the moment. Nourishment for the soul....a reminder for me that life is good.
